Suzhou Menhow Successfully Concludes 2025 "Quality Improvement Month" – Solidifying Quality Foundation Through Dual-Drive Approach

2025-09-19

To deepen the development of quality culture for silicone rubber parts andmembrane switch enhance quality awareness among all employees,  officially launched the special "Quality Improvement Month" campaign in August 2025. Focusing on two core dimensions – frontline production and technological innovation – the campaign adopted a dual-track approach, integrating QCC (Quality Control Circle) activities and Six Sigma special improvement initiatives. This effort successfully elevated the company's quality management to a new level and injected strong impetus into its market competitiveness.d66060fd8e692b3f68b88fbf71279d3

I.Establishment of QCC Teams:improve the quality and efficiency

With "full employee participation and targeted breakthroughs" as the core of this Quality Improvement Month, multiple QCC (Quality Control Circle) teams have been set up for employees of the production department, following the "small-team, fast-improvement" model. These teams focus on addressing key pain points such as process defect rate, equipment OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency), and process standardization.

II.Six Sigma Special Initiative: Core Technological Breakthroughs in silicone rubber and Membrane Switche Drive Quality System Upgrade

The engineering and quality departments have focused on two core product lines—silicone rubber components and membrane switches—to launch Six Sigma Black Belt projects. By applying the DMAIC methodology, they have systematically resolved technical bottlenecks and achieved a leapfrog improvement in key quality indicators. Specifically, the failure mode rate of silicone rubber sealing components has been reduced from 500 ppm to 66 ppm, while the contact failure frequency of membrane switche has decreased by 86% simultaneously. This fully demonstrates that technological innovation plays a strong driving role in quality management.

To effectively drive quality enhancement, Suzhou Menhow's quality improvement initiative combines digital upgrading with quality culture cultivation, aiming to internalize quality excellence. Shop floors now feature Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that display defect trends and improvement progress in real-time, establishing a transparent oversight mechanism. Leveraging Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles enables real-time monitoring of defect trends and Process Capability Index (CPK) metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making . 5S (Sort-Set in Order-Shine-Standardize-Sustain) practices have further standardized workflows to guarantee consistent execution across all operations.

Company-wide "Quality Classroom" initiatives are aligned with Total Quality Management (TQM) frameworks to ensure enterprise-wide participation . Training programs emphasize distinctions between Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC), Poka-Yoke (mistake-proofing) designs, and proactive methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) . Employees apply the DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) framework and Kaizen practices to daily operations, shifting from reactive troubleshooting to preventive control mechanisms . This integrated approach strengthens both technical infrastructure and cultural foundations for sustainable quality excellence.
